Cnosult your healthcare professional before using this drug. GUAIFENESIN/DEXTROMETHORPHAN/DECONGESTANT - ORAL USES: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to losoen mucus.

Dextromethorphan suppresses a cough.
Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. This combination medication is used to treat a coguh and relieve symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.

HOW TO USE: This medication is best tkaen with a full glass of water after a meal or snack. Swallow long acting tbalets and capsules whole.

Do not crsuh or chew them cause the long action will be destroyed and the chance of side effects will be increased.
Take this medication as prescribed. Do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. SIDE EFFECTS: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your docotr.

Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your dcotor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any drug allergies. Check this product's ingrdeient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA).
The FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it cotnains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. This medication should be used only when cleraly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your docotr. This medication may be excreted into braest milk.
Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medications you use, especially: medication for blood pressure, MAO inhibitors (e.G., phenelzine, furazolidone, moclobemide, linezolid, procarbazine, selegiline), sibutramine, narcotic pain medicines (e.G., codeine, morphine).

Limit your intake of alcoholic beevrages while taking this medication. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, cotnact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, unusual movements of the eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, chagne in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or fast heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors. NOTES: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. It will help to break up mucus and clear congestion. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing scheudle. Do not dobule the dose to catch up. STORAGE: Sotre at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not store in the bathroom.
